Sr. Director of Product Marketing - Remote
ABOUT THE ROLE
Rafay is seeking a strategic and visionary Sr. Director of Product Marketing to lead and scale the company’s product marketing function. This is a highly visible leadership role with the opportunity to directly influence the success of Rafay’s products, go-to-market strategy, market positioning, and revenue growth. We are looking for a driven, technical, and market-focused leader who can shape compelling messaging and effectively communicate Rafay’s value to Platform Teams, CxOs, DevOps leaders, IT professionals, MSPs, CSPs, and the broader enterprise technology community.
The Sr. Director of Product Marketing will own the strategic direction of product marketing while also driving execution across positioning, messaging, launches, sales enablement, analyst relations, and demand generation. This leader will work cross-functionally with Executive Leadership, Product Management, Solutions Architects, Sales Engineering, Demand Generation, and Sales to elevate Rafay’s market presence and accelerate pipeline growth.
This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, technical fluency, executive communication skills, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable engaging with engineering teams on technical capabilities as they are presenting business value to executives, analysts, customers, and partners.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Own and lead Rafay’s product marketing strategy, positioning, and messaging across the company’s product portfolio
- Develop differentiated messaging frameworks and compelling content tailored for technical practitioners, business stakeholders, executives, analysts, and channel partners
- Drive go-to-market strategy and execution for new product launches, feature releases, and strategic initiatives
- Partner closely with Product Management to shape product strategy, roadmap prioritization, and market requirements
- Serve as the market intelligence leader by deeply understanding buyers, competitive positioning, industry trends, and emerging market opportunities
- Build and scale world-class sales enablement programs that equip direct sales and channel teams with messaging, competitive intelligence, presentations, demos, and customer-facing assets
- Collaborate with Demand Generation to create integrated marketing campaigns and programs that drive awareness, engagement, pipeline growth, and customer expansion
- Partner closely with the Partner Marketing team and external strategic technology, cloud, channel, and ecosystem partners to develop joint go-to-market initiatives, co-marketing campaigns, partner enablement content, and integrated launch activities that drive pipeline growth and market awareness
- Develop high-impact content including presentations, whitepapers, webinars, blogs, analyst briefings, customer case studies, battle cards, and thought leadership materials
- Represent Rafay externally through webinars, customer meetings, tradeshows, industry events, analyst engagements, media opportunities, and executive presentations
- Partner with customers to understand their challenges, gather feedback, and develop customer advocacy and reference programs
- Lead analyst relations activities including strategic briefings with leading analyst firms and participation in industry evaluations
- Mentor and scale the product marketing organization while establishing operational rigor, processes, and performance metrics
- Act as the voice of the market internally and help drive alignment across Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing teams
- Maximize the effectiveness and market impact of product launches through cross-functional leadership and execution
WHAT WE WANT TO SEE
- 12+ years of experience in enterprise software product marketing, product strategy, or related go-to-market leadership roles
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing and scaling product marketing teams within high-growth enterprise technology companies
- Strong background marketing infrastructure, cloud, Kubernetes, DevOps, platform engineering, SaaS, or enterprise IT solutions
- Proven success developing product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies that drive measurable business impact
- Experience partnering closely with executive leadership teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders
- Deep understanding of enterprise technology buyers, technical sales cycles, and modern GTM motions
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value
- Strong executive presence and experience presenting to customers, analysts, partners, and industry audiences
- Demonstrated success leading product launches, sales enablement initiatives, and integrated marketing campaigns
- Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Highly organized, analytical, and capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
- Energetic, collaborative, and results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and urgency
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or related advanced degree preferred
