Accounting & Finance Contractor - U.S.

Rafay Systems is seeking an experienced Accounting & Finance Contractor to support our accounting, financial planning, forecasting, and reporting activities. This role is ideal for someone who brings a strong combination of technical accounting expertise and FP&A experience and is comfortable working in a multi-entity environment.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day accounting and financial operations across multiple subsidiaries.
• Ensure accounting activities are performed in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain financial forecasts, budgets, and related financial models.
• Analyze actual performance against forecasts and budgets, identify key variances, and provide insights into business performance.
• Support consolidated financial reporting across multiple legal entities/subsidiaries.
• Implement new ERP tool.
• Assist with opening new subsidiaries worldwide.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting, reporting, and financial planning processes.
• Support ad hoc accounting, FP&A, and financial analysis projects as needed.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in accounting, FP&A, or a combination of both.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting principles.
• Hands-on experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Demonstrated experience managing or supporting accounting for multiple subsidiaries/legal entities.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and the relationship between the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a high-growth or multi-entity organization.
• Experience supporting both Accounting and FP&A functions.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills and experience working with accounting/ERP and financial planning systems.
