Technical Account Manager, AI & Cloud Infrastructure - Australia

Rafay is seeking a high-performing, technically curious and customer-focused Technical Account Manager (TAM) to join our growing Customer Success organization.

This is not a traditional support-oriented TAM role. The ideal candidate is a technology enthusiast and trusted technical advisor who understands the rapidly evolving AI and cloud infrastructure landscape and can work with some of the world's leading GPU cloud, AI infrastructure and enterprise technology providers.

As a Rafay TAM, you will own the post-sale technical relationship with strategic customers and help them successfully deploy, operate and scale Rafay. You will work directly with engineering teams as well as CTOs, CIOs, VPs and other senior executives to understand their technology strategy, advise on architecture and identify opportunities where Rafay can help them build and scale their business.

You will work with customers ranging from large enterprises to GPU cloud and AI infrastructure providers, helping them solve complex infrastructure challenges and accelerate the adoption of Kubernetes, GPU infrastructure, AI/ML platforms and AI services.

The successful candidate combines strong technical depth, curiosity about emerging AI technologies, executive presence and business acumen. They understand not only how technology works, but also how customers can use it to build new services, improve operational efficiency and create new revenue opportunities.

What You Will Do

• Be a trusted technical advisor to customers and senior executives, understanding their business and technology objectives and providing practical guidance.
• Own the technical customer relationship, driving successful adoption, architecture, deployment and resolution of complex challenges.
• Understand customer environments and technology roadmaps and recommend solutions aligned to their business objectives.
• Stay current with emerging cloud, AI, GPU and infrastructure technologies and bring relevant perspectives to customer engagements.
• Drive customer growth and value, identifying opportunities where Rafay can help customers scale infrastructure, launch new services and improve operations.
• Collaborate across Rafay Product, Engineering, Support, Delivery and Sales to deliver customer outcomes and expand strategic relationships.

What We're Looking For

Technical Experience

• 15+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, enterprise infrastructure, technical consulting, solutions architecture or a related technical field.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies.
• Strong understanding of modern infrastructure across compute, networking, storage, security and observability.
• Experience with one or more major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Experience with GPU infrastructure, AI/ML platforms or AI workloads strongly preferred.
• Understanding of AI/ML concepts including LLMs, generative AI, model serving, inference, training/fine-tuning and GPU utilization.
• Understanding of modern inference and AI infrastructure technologies and the ability to quickly learn emerging platforms and frameworks.
• Experience designing or operating large-scale, highly available or multi-tenant infrastructure environments.
• Ability to understand complex technical architectures and explain them clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with GPU cloud providers, AI infrastructure providers, hyperscalers, telcos or large-scale enterprise infrastructure organizations.
• Experience with AI/ML platforms, LLM infrastructure or inference platforms.
• Experience with NVIDIA GPU infrastructure and/or the broader NVIDIA AI ecosystem.
• Experience building or operating Kubernetes-based platforms at scale.
• Experience with multi-tenant cloud platforms or Infrastructure-as-a-Service / Platform-as-a-Service environments.
• CKA or equivalent Kubernetes certification is a plus.
• Cloud architecture certification such as AWS Solutions Architect or equivalent is a plus.
• Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical background preferred.
