Technical Lead – Air-Gapped Controller Engineering - India
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead to drive the design, development, and lifecycle management of our Air-Gapped Controller platform. You will build secure, scalable, and reliable Kubernetes-based infrastructure that enables enterprise and regulated customers to deploy and operate the platform in disconnected environments while maintaining feature parity with connected deployments.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and development of the Air-Gapped Controller platform.
- Design and build solutions for installation, upgrades, patching, backup/restore, disaster recovery, and lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with Platform, Security, Observability, Release Engineering, and Product teams to deliver production-ready capabilities.
- Drive engineering excellence through architecture reviews, code reviews, mentoring, automation, and quality improvements.
- Work closely with Support and Customer Success to troubleshoot complex production issues and improve operational reliability.
- Contribute to technical roadmap and long-term platform architecture.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of software engineering experience building distributed systems or cloud infrastructure platforms.
- Strong programming experience in Go (preferred), Python, Java.
- Experience designing highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes, containers, Linux, Helm, Operators, and cloud-native architectures.
- Hands-on DevOps/infrastructure experience, including deployment automation, CI/CD, debugging, and operating production systems.
- Experience with REST/gRPC APIs, GitOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.
- Experience with enterprise infrastructure technologies such as PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, log aggregation/observability frameworks, and public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a strong plus.
- Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
